Baccarat Rules

Punto banco is bet on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards under 10 are worth face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum of the cards, however the 1st number is dropped. For instance, a hand of five and six has a value of one (5 plus 6 = eleven; dump the 1st ‘1′).

A third card could be given out using the rules below:

- If the gambler or banker achieves a total of 8 or nine, both players stay.

- If the player has 5 or less, he takes a card. Players stays otherwise.

- If the gambler stands, the banker takes a card on 5 or lower. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is employed to determine if the banker stays or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The bigger of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission are kept track of and paid off once you quit the game so be sure to still have money remaining just before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie typically pay eight to one but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than 1 in every ten hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8:1)

Gambled on properly punto banco gives relatively decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Strategy

As with all games punto banco has a few established myths. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of future outcomes. Recording previous outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most established and possibly the most accomplished method is the one, three, two, six technique. This tactic is used to maximize profits and minimizing losses.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a grand total of three chips on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the table, take away four so you keep two on the 3rd round. Should you succeed on the 3rd round, deposit two to the four on the game table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

Should you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the initial round followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a hit of 2. Success on the 1st 2 with a defeat on the third provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the first 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you break even. Winning all 4 bets leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you are able to squander the 2nd round five instances for every favorable run of 4 rounds and still are even.
