Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are worth their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they strictly symbolize the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of two cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven as well as 5 will have a value of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card might be played depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Victorious stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have money left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie generally pay out eight to one and on occasion nine to 1. (This is a terrible bet as ties will occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. Even so odds are positively better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)

When played smartly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an indicator of future outcomes. Staying abreast of last results on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and probably most successful strategy is the one-three-two-six scheme. This process is deployed to pump up payouts and cutting back risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
