Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are said to be at their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely act as the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of 7 … 5 has a value of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be dealt depending on the foll. rules:
- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or nine, then both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Successful stakes on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so be sure to have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pays out at 8 to one and sometimes 9 to one. (This is an awful wager as ties happen lower than one every ten hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are far better – nine to one versus 8 to one)
Played accurately, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Tracking of last outcomes on a chart is definitely a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and almost certainly most successful method is the one-three-2-6 technique. This scheme is used to build up profits and cutting back risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the fourth bet.
If you lose on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
