Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than ten are valued at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely act as the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of seven as well as five gives a score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card can be given out depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or nine, both gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to one and sometimes 9 to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties happen less than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Even so odds are significantly better – 9 to one versus 8 to 1)
Played correctly, baccarat provides fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with every games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Staying abreast of historic conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and probably most successful tactic is the 1-three-2-6 concept. This tactic is deployed to build up earnings and reducing risk.
Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
