Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are worth face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only portray the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the sum total of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 has a value of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be played depending on the foll. practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pays out at eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try wagering on a tie. Even so odds are especially better – nine to one versus eight to one)

Played effectively, baccarat offers generally good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of old outcomes on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and feasibly most successful method is the one-3-2-6 concept. This plan is used to increase successes and cutting back risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
