Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under 10 are worth their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they merely symbolize the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 … five has a score of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be given out depending on the following practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of eight or nine, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have funds still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie usually pay out eight to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of putting money on a tie. Even so odds are decidedly better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to one)

Played smartly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. 1 of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Monitoring of last outcomes on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly most successful method is the one-three-2-6 concept. This scheme is used to amplify payouts and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
