Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued less than ten are said to be worth face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they just symbolize the two hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 produces a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card can be given depending on the following protocols:
- If the player or banker has a total of eight or nine, each bettors stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie customarily pay out 8 to one and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is an awful wager as ties will occur less than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. Nevertheless odds are far better – 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)
When played effectively, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Tracking of old outcomes on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most accepted and feasibly most successful method is the one-3-2-6 concept. This method is deployed to boost profits and reducing risk.
Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.
If you lose on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
