Baccarat Chemin de Fer Rules

Baccarat is enjoyed with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are counted at their printed value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the total of the cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (5 plus six = eleven; ignore the 1st ‘1′).

A 3rd card may be dealt using the rules below:

- If the gambler or house achieves a total of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he takes a card. Players otherwise stand.

- If the gambler stays, the banker hits on a value lower than five. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to decide if the house holds or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The larger of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out 19:20 (equal money minus a 5% rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out once you quit the table so be sure to still have money left before you leave). Winning wagers on the player pay 1:1. Winning bets for tie usually pay 8:1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a awful bet as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be wary of wagering on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8 to 1)

Gambled on correctly baccarat gives generally decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Scheme

As with all games punto banco has quite a few general misunderstandings. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of events yet to happen. Recording past outcomes on a sheet of paper is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and definitely the most accomplished strategy is the one, three, two, six plan. This method is deployed to maximize earnings and limit losses.

Begin by betting one dollar. If you succeed, add 1 more to the two on the game table for a sum of three units on the second bet. If you succeed you will hold six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd round, add 2 to the four on the game table for a total of six on the 4th bet.

Should you do not win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st wager followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a hit of two. Wins on the initial 2 with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a profit of 2. And wins on the 1st three with a hit on the fourth means you are even. Succeeding at all 4 rounds gives you with 12, a take of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the second round five times for each favorable streak of 4 rounds and still are even.
