Baccarat Chemin de Fer Regulations

Baccarat is gambled on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards under 10 are valued at their printed number while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the cards, however the 1st number is ignored. For example, a hand of five and six has a score of one (5 plus six = 11; dump the initial ‘one’).

A additional card can be given using the rules below:

- If the player or bank gets a value of 8 or nine, both players hold.

- If the player has 5 or less, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the player stays, the bank takes a card on 5 or lower. If the player takes a card, a guide is employed to figure out if the house stays or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19:20 (equal cash minus a 5% rake. Commission are tracked and paid off once you quit the table so make sure you still have money left over before you head out). Winning bets on the player pays out at one to one. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties occur lower than one in every ten hands. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 vs. eight to one)

Gambled on correctly baccarat gives pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy

As with all games punto banco has quite a few general myths. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of future actions. Keeping score of past results on a page of paper is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most established and likely the most acknowledged method is the 1-3-2-6 technique. This technique is used to build up earnings and minimizing losses.

Start by wagering 1 unit. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a sum of three units on the second bet. Should you win you will hold 6 on the table, pull off 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. Should you succeed on the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the game table for a total of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the 1st wager followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Success on the 1st 2 with a defeat on the third provides you with a take of two. And wins on the 1st three with a defeat on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all four wagers gives you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you are able to give up the second round five times for each successful run of 4 wagers and still are even.
