Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are said to be worth their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they purely act as the two hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the two cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 and five results in a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be given depending on the following guidelines:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart is used to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes nine to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties will occur lower than 1 every ten hands. Definitely don’t try wagering on a tie. However odds are supremely better – nine to one vs. 8 to one)

When done accurately, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of historic conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-three-2-6 method. This scheme is used to boost payouts and limiting risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
