Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued less than 10 are worth face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they strictly appear as the 2 hands to be played).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 and five results in a total score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the foll. codes:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or nine, the two gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have money remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie usually pays eight to 1 but on occasion 9 to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Still, odds are significantly better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)
Played properly, baccarat presents generally decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Staying abreast of prior outcomes on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most common and probably most successful technique is the one-3-2-six technique. This schema is used to amplify successes and lowering risk.
Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
