Baccarat Chemin de Fer Rules and Method
Baccarat Standards
Baccarat chemin de fer is played with eight decks in a shoe. Cards below ten are counted at their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, although the first number is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a total of 1 (five plus 6 equals eleven; drop the 1st ‘1′).
A additional card will be dealt based on the rules below:
- If the player or banker achieves a score of eight or 9, the two players stay.
- If the gambler has less than five, she takes a card. Players otherwise stand.
- If the player stays, the banker hits on 5 or less. If the gambler takes a card, a table is used to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Banque Odds
The higher of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the house payout 19:20 (equal cash minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is tracked and cleared out once you depart the table so ensure you still have funds left before you depart). Winning bets on the gambler pay 1:1. Winning bets for tie typically pay eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties occur less than one in every ten hands. Avoid gambling on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 vs. 8 to 1)
Played properly baccarat gives pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games baccarat banque has a handful of established myths. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Keeping track of previous results on a sheet of paper is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.
The most familiar and probably the most acknowledged strategy is the one-three-two-six technique. This method is employed to pump up profits and minimizing risk.
Start by betting 1 chip. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum total of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will now have 6 on the game table, remove four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd round. Should you come away with a win on the third wager, put down two on the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth bet.
Should you do not win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A profit on the 1st wager followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third provides you with a gain of 2. And wins on the 1st 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you break even. Winning all 4 rounds leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd round 5 instances for each successful streak of 4 bets and still experience no loss.
