Punto Banco Rules

Punto banco is wagered on with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under 10 are counted at their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum of the two cards, however the 1st digit is ignored. e.g., a hand of 5 and 6 has a value of one (five plus six = eleven; dump the 1st ‘1′).

A additional card might be given out using the rules below:

- If the player or banker achieves a value of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he takes a card. Players holds otherwise.

- If the gambler stays, the house hits on 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a table is used to see if the house stays or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (equal money minus a 5 percent rake. Commission are kept track of and paid off when you depart the game so ensure you have money around before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a poor bet as ties occur lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of betting on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 vs. 8:1)

Bet on correctly baccarat banque provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has quite a few familiar misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events about to happen. Tracking past outcomes on a chart is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most established and possibly the most successful method is the one, three, two, six plan. This tactic is employed to build up winnings and minimizing losses.

Begin by betting 1 dollar. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the game table for a sum total of three dollars on the second bet. If you succeed you will retain 6 on the game table, take away four so you keep 2 on the third bet. Should you win the third wager, deposit two on the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth round.

If you do not win on the initial bet, you take a hit of one. A win on the first round followed by a hit on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Success on the first 2 with a defeat on the third provides you with a profit of two. And wins on the 1st three with a hit on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four bets leaves you with 12, a take of 10. This means you will be able to give up the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still balance the books.
