Punto Banco Practices and Method
Punto Banco Rules
Baccarat is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at face value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).
Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of five and six has a value of 1 (5 plus 6 = eleven; ignore the 1st ‘1′).
A 3rd card can be given using the following rules:
- If the player or banker achieves a score of 8 or 9, both players hold.
- If the gambler has 5 or less, she takes a card. Players stands otherwise.
- If the gambler holds, the bank hits on five or less. If the player hits, a table is employed to see if the banker stands or takes a card.
Punto Banco Odds
The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19:20 (equal money less a 5 percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and cleared out once you leave the table so ensure you still have funds left before you leave). Winning bets on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for tie usually pays 8:1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties occur lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 vs. 8 to 1)
Bet on correctly baccarat banque provides fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with all games Baccarat has a few established myths. One of which is close to a absurdity in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future events. Keeping track of previous outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and an affront to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper desires.
The most established and possibly the most successful method is the one-three-two-six method. This method is deployed to maximize profits and minimizing losses.
Start by placing one chip. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a grand total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the game table, pull off four so you are left with two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd round, put down 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth round.
Should you do not win on the initial bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the first round followed by a loss on the second creates a loss of 2. Success on the first 2 with a hit on the third provides you with a take of two. And success on the first 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you break even. Winning all four bets gives you with 12, a take of ten. This means you will be able to give up the 2nd round 5 instances for each favorable run of four wagers and still balance the books.
