Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than ten are give a value of their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely portray the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For example, a hand of seven … 5 produces a tally of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be dealt depending on the following regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are appreciably better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)

When played properly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Monitoring of prior conclusions on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-six technique. This schema is used to boost earnings and minimizing risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
