Punto Banco Standards

Baccarat banque is played with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards below ten are valued at their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is 1. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the sum of the two cards, although the beginning digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a value of one (5 plus 6 equals 11; dump the first ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the rules below:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or nine, the two players hold.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the player holds, the bank takes a card on five or lower. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the house stands or takes a card.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The better of the 2 totals wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is recorded and cleared out once you depart the game so make sure you still have cash around just before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pays out at one to one. Winning bets for a tie typically pays 8 to 1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur less than one in every 10 rounds. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

Gambled on correctly baccarat banque provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Course of Action

As with all games baccarat banque has a few familiar misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future actions. Keeping track of past outcomes on a page of paper is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.

The most established and definitely the most successful method is the one, three, two, six method. This method is used to pump up winnings and limit risk.

Start by betting 1 chip. If you succeed, add another to the two on the game table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will retain 6 on the table, pull off four so you keep two on the 3rd wager. If you come away with a win on the 3rd wager, put down two on the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

Should you lose on the 1st bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the initial wager followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a hit of 2. Success on the initial two with a hit on the 3rd provides you with a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Winning all 4 bets gives you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means you are able to not win on the second bet 5 instances for every favorable streak of 4 wagers and in the end, balance the books.
