Punto Banco Standards

Baccarat chemin de fer is enjoyed with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards under 10 are counted at face value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the cards, although the beginning number is dumped. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a score of one (five plus six = 11; drop the 1st ‘1′).

A additional card will be given out depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker achieves a score of eight or 9, both players stay.

- If the player has five or less, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler holds, the bank takes a card on 5 or less. If the player takes a card, a guide is used to decide if the banker stands or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the bank payout 19:20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is recorded and cleared out when you leave the game so ensure you have money left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1:1. Winning wagers for tie frequently pays out at 8:1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties happen less than 1 in every ten rounds. Be wary of gambling on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9:1 versus 8:1)

Played properly baccarat chemin de fer gives generally decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Scheme

As with all games baccarat banque has a handful of common false impressions. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Keeping track of previous outcomes at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our paper needs.

The most common and likely the most successful method is the 1-3-2-6 method. This tactic is employed to build up winnings and limit risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you succeed, add 1 more to the two on the game table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will have six on the table, pull off 4 so you are left with two on the third bet. If you succeed on the 3rd bet, deposit 2 to the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you do not win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial wager followed by a hit on the second causes a loss of 2. Success on the first two with a defeat on the third provides you with a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all 4 wagers gives you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can lose the second round 5 instances for each favorable streak of 4 wagers and in the end, break even.
