Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued under 10 are counted at face value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they just appear as the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as five will have a score of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be played depending on the foll. rules:

- If the player or banker has a value of 8 or 9, then both players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie customarily pay out eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. abstain from placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are far better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played properly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually a predictor of future actions. Keeping track of last outcomes on a chart is a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-six method. This tactic is deployed to build up payouts and minimizing risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
