Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are said to be at their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only act as the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For example, a hand of 7 as well as five has a total of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be dealt depending on the foll. codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of eight or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for tie normally pay out 8 to one and occasionally nine to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are substantially better – 9 to one vs. eight to one)

When played effectively, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually a predictor of future actions. Monitoring of historic outcomes on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and probably most successful technique is the 1-three-two-six technique. This tactic is employed to increase winnings and lowering risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
