Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued under 10 are valued at their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they just symbolize the 2 hands to be given out).
2 hands of 2 cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for every hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 … five has a total of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).
A third card could be dealt depending on the following protocols:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or nine, the two bettors stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie usually pay out 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to 1. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Regardless odds are greatly better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)
Played properly, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with most games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an indicator of future results. Tracking of past conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and possibly most successful technique is the one-3-2-6 technique. This method is deployed to magnify winnings and reducing risk.
start by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the 4th gamble.
If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
