Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply portray the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 has a total of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be dealt depending on the foll. practices:

- If the player or banker has a total of 8 or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a terrible wager as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Played effectively, baccarat provides generally decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of previous results on a chart is for sure a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and probably most successful strategy is the one-3-two-six concept. This process is deployed to boost payouts and limiting risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
