Punto Banco Rules and Strategy
Baccarat Standards
Baccarat banque is wagered on with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at their printed number while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum total of the cards, although the first digit is ignored. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a value of one (five plus six equals eleven; ignore the initial ‘1′).
A 3rd card might be given using the following rules:
- If the gambler or bank has a score of 8 or 9, the two players stay.
- If the player has five or less, she takes a card. Players stands otherwise.
- If the gambler holds, the house takes a card on a value less than five. If the gambler hits, a table is employed to decide if the house stands or takes a card.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the bank pay out 19:20 (equal cash less a five percent commission. The Rake is tracked and cleared out when you depart the table so make sure you still have funds around before you head out). Winning bets on the player pays 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pay eight to one but sometimes 9:1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs less than 1 in every ten hands. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for nine to one vs. eight to one)
Played correctly baccarat banque offers relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Method
As with all games Baccarat has a handful of familiar misconceptions. One of which is the same as a false impression in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of events yet to happen. Tracking previous outcomes on a chart is a bad use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.
The most familiar and possibly the most accomplished plan is the one, three, two, six tactic. This technique is deployed to maximize earnings and limit losses.
Begin by wagering one dollar. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a grand total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will hold six on the game table, subtract four so you keep 2 on the third bet. Should you win the 3rd wager, deposit 2 on the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th wager.
Should you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by a loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third provides you with a gain of two. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Winning all 4 bets leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the 2nd round 5 times for each successful run of 4 bets and still break even.
