Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under 10 are said to be at face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they strictly portray the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven and 5 will have a tally of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be played depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try betting on a tie. Still, odds are significantly better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)

When played smartly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future outcomes. Staying abreast of past outcomes on a chart is simply a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and almost certainly most successful method is the 1-three-2-six method. This method is employed to maximize winnings and limiting risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
