Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are said to be worth their printed value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only depict the two hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 … five results in a total of two (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the following regulations:

- If the gambler or banker has a total of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have dollars remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie commonly pays out at eight to 1 but occasionally nine to 1. (This is an awful wager as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from placing bets on a tie. Still, odds are significantly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way an indicator of future results. Keeping track of old results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and feasibly most successful technique is the one-three-two-six technique. This process is employed to build up successes and lowering risk.

commence by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third bet, add two to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
