Baccarat Rules
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued under ten are counted at face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they only symbolize the two hands to be played).
2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand shall be the grand total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 … five results in a tally of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A third card might be given out depending on the foll. standards:
- If the bettor or banker has a total score of eight or nine, the two players stand.
- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Successful wagers on the banker payout nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie customarily pay out eight to one and on occasion nine to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties will occur lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Even so odds are significantlly better – nine to one vs. eight to 1)
When played properly, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an actual indicator of future events. Monitoring of previous results on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and possibly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-six technique. This plan is used to boost wins and cutting back risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of 6 on the fourth gamble.
If you lose on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
