Punto Banco Principles

Baccarat is bet on with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below 10 are valued at their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the total of the cards, however the 1st number is dropped. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a score of one (5 plus six = eleven; ignore the initial ‘1′).

A third card will be dealt using the following rules:

- If the gambler or house gets a score of 8 or nine, the two players hold.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the gambler stays, the banker takes a card on a value lower than five. If the player hits, a chart is used to figure out if the house stands or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal money less a 5% rake. Commission are kept track of and paid off once you quit the table so ensure you have funds around before you leave). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pay eight to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a poor wager as ties occur less than one in every ten hands. Avoid gambling on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for 9:1 versus 8 to 1)

Wagered on correctly baccarat chemin de fer offers pretty decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy

As with all games punto banco has some general false impressions. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events yet to happen. Recording past outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and possibly the most acknowledged method is the one-three-two-six plan. This technique is used to pump up winnings and minimizing losses.

Start by wagering 1 chip. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the game table for a sum total of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will retain six on the table, take away four so you keep 2 on the 3rd round. If you succeed on the 3rd bet, deposit two on the 4 on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.

Should you lose on the first wager, you take a hit of one. A win on the first round followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a hit of 2. Wins on the first two with a defeat on the third gives you with a take of 2. And wins on the 1st three with a defeat on the 4th means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four bets gives you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to not win on the 2nd wager 5 times for every successful streak of 4 wagers and still balance the books.
